Short answer: custom software is justified when a business process is genuinely specific, an existing product cannot fit without a costly compromise, or integrations between current systems are the real bottleneck. Otherwise, configuring an existing product is usually the better decision.

Work starts with the process, users, decisions and failure cases rather than a feature list. The smallest useful release is scoped first. Code is version-controlled, environments are documented, automated checks protect core behavior, and the repository remains in the client's ownership.

Technical scope

My primary stack is JavaScript and TypeScript across React, Next.js, Node.js, Express, MongoDB and PostgreSQL, with APIs and automation added where the problem requires them. Technology follows the operating constraint; it is not selected to make a proposal sound modern.

Web development consulting in Nepal covers marketing sites and web-delivered applications. Software development is broader: business logic, internal operations, data models, integrations and long-term maintainability may matter more than the public interface.

Fit and limits

I am best suited to focused systems where one senior owner can handle discovery through delivery. I am not the right fit for a large enterprise programme needing a multi-team vendor, 24-hour support desk or regulated certification I do not hold.
