SEO Consultant in Kathmandu
I provide independent SEO consulting from Kathmandu for organisations in the valley and across Nepal. An engagement turns search data and a site review into a prioritised roadmap, agreed implementation and measurement. You work directly with me and retain ownership of every account.
Short answer, if that is all you need: this service covers diagnosis, priorities, implementation support and measurement for organic search. The scope is agreed around the business objective rather than a fixed list of monthly tasks. Technical or local work is included when the evidence calls for it, with deeper work handled through the dedicated services linked below.
Who this is for
This is for an organisation that has a website, a defined market and a commercially meaningful search problem: qualified enquiries are absent, an important service is difficult to find, a redesign needs search oversight, or the team has data but no clear order of action. Meetings can be held in Kathmandu where practical; delivery also works remotely for businesses elsewhere in Nepal.
It is less suitable when the immediate need is demand generation for something nobody searches for, when paid traffic is required this week, or when the requested work is bulk link placement. If you are still deciding who to appoint, use the separate procurement guide to hiring an SEO consultant. If you are evaluating my background specifically, see the SEO expert profile.
Core deliverables
1. Baseline and access
We agree what a useful outcome means before changing the site. That may be qualified enquiries for a service, non-brand discovery for a product category, recovery after a migration or visibility in a real service area. Search Console, Analytics and Business Profile access remains under your organisation's account. The baseline records current queries, landing pages, conversions and known constraints so later reporting has something honest to compare.
2. Diagnostic audit
The audit examines discovery and indexation, site architecture, search intent, content ownership, internal links, result snippets and conversion paths. It is not a dump of every warning produced by a crawler. Findings are tied to affected URLs and evidence, then ranked by likely value, risk, effort and dependencies. Google's SEO Starter Guide provides the official foundation; the audit applies it to your site and market.
3. Prioritised roadmap
You receive a sequence, not an unranked checklist. The roadmap identifies what should happen now, what can wait, who needs to do it and what completion looks like. It also states exclusions. A developer task, a subject-matter interview and a content rewrite have different owners and lead times; hiding those dependencies is how plans stall.
4. Implementation and content direction
Depending on the agreed engagement, I implement changes directly, work with your developer and writer, or provide acceptance-ready briefs. Typical outputs include title and page recommendations, intent and URL maps, internal-link changes, redirect specifications, structured data corrections and content briefs grounded in customer questions. Deliverables are defined in the proposal, so “ongoing optimisation” never has to stand in for a description of the work.
5. Measurement and decisions
Reporting comes primarily from your Search Console and Analytics data, joined with enquiry records where available. It distinguishes brand from non-brand discovery and visibility from actual contact. Each review answers what changed, what the evidence suggests, what remains uncertain and what decision follows. Rankings can provide context, but they are not presented as the business outcome.
What the roadmap looks like in practice
Each recommendation names the affected page or template, the observed evidence, the proposed change, its owner and a way to verify completion. For example, “improve service pages” is not an actionable deliverable. A usable item identifies which service intent lacks a clear page, whether an existing URL should be revised or consolidated, what the page must answer and which internal pages should link to it. Technical items use the same standard: the expected status, canonical, rendered content or performance outcome is stated so implementation can be checked.
Priorities can change when new evidence arrives. A roadmap is therefore maintained as a decision document, not treated as a ceremonial report. If implementation reveals a platform limitation, customer interviews contradict the original keyword assumption, or Search Console starts matching a different landing page, I record the reason for changing course. That history helps your team understand the system after the engagement ends.
When specialist SEO is needed
The consulting engagement coordinates the whole search programme without reproducing every specialist checklist. If the audit identifies a concentrated problem, these service pages define the deeper work:
- Technical SEO in Nepal for crawling, rendering, indexation, migrations, status codes, canonicals and performance constraints.
- Local SEO in Nepal for Business Profile governance, service areas, location signals, reviews and consistent business information.
- Ecommerce SEO in Nepal for category architecture, products, variants, filters and large URL inventories.
This separation keeps the commercial plan readable. You still receive one set of priorities, while the detailed implementation lives with the discipline it belongs to.
How engagements work
Most engagements start with a paid audit because it creates a useful asset without requiring a long commitment. From there, the appropriate model depends on who can implement the roadmap.
- Audit and roadmap: a finite diagnostic engagement for a team that can execute internally or needs an independent second opinion.
- Fixed-scope implementation: a defined set of corrections, page plans or migration tasks with completion criteria.
- Ongoing advisory and implementation: a recurring engagement with agreed priorities, capacity and review cadence when search is an active channel rather than a one-off repair.
I take a small number of clients at a time. You deal with me directly, and the person who scopes the work is the person who does it. There is no account manager layer, which also means I am the person who has to explain it when a month underperforms.
Current package prices are published on the pricing page. The proposal then states scope, assumptions, client responsibilities and anything that would be quoted separately, such as extensive writing or development outside the agreed implementation. For wider context, the digital marketing cost guide compares published Nepali pricing sources without pretending one market average fits every site.
What I will not do
- Guarantee a ranking position. Google's own documentation warns that no one can guarantee a number-one ranking.
- Buy links or place content on link farms. Google's spam policies identify links created primarily to manipulate rankings as link spam.
- Create fake reviews or fake business listings.
- Hold your Search Console, Analytics, Business Profile or ad accounts in my name.
- Report on vanity metrics while enquiries stay flat.
Common questions
How long does an engagement take?
An audit is finite; implementation and measurement depend on site condition, approvals, competition and the changes selected. I define review points and dependencies, not a guaranteed ranking date.
Do you guarantee number one rankings?
No, and you should treat any guarantee as a warning sign. What I commit to is a defined scope, transparent reporting from your own data, and an honest assessment of what is achievable.
Who owns the accounts?
You do, in every case. Accounts are created under your Google account and I am added as a user. Ending the engagement costs you nothing but my access.
Do you work outside Kathmandu?
Yes. I am in Kathmandu and can meet in person in the valley, but delivery is remote, so I also work with clients elsewhere in Nepal and internationally.
What will I receive?
The exact list is agreed before work begins. A typical scope includes baseline measurement, an evidence-backed audit, a prioritised roadmap, implementation or briefs, and reporting that explains the next decision.
