A proposal can make almost any campaign sound inevitable. A case study has to answer harder questions: What was the baseline? What changed? Over what period? Was the result measured in traffic, leads, calls or revenue? Those questions matter in Nepal, where screenshots without date ranges and claims without account context are still common.

These Nepal digital marketing case studies document work delivered by me, Shashikant, and by Gurkha Technology. That is one body of work, not two portfolios combined to look larger. Five studies below have publishable numbers. Other named engagements are included for the scope actually delivered, without attaching invented CPL, CPA or revenue figures to them.

The principle is simple: publish only figures that were tracked and verified. Past results show a method can work under particular conditions; they are neither market averages nor guarantees.

How these case studies are verified and written

A defensible case study starts with first-party platform data. Depending on the channel, that means Google Analytics 4, Google Ads conversion records, Google Business Profile performance data and the client's lead or sales records. The comparison window and attribution limits are checked before a percentage is calculated.

For new audits, I normally ask for read-only access to at least 90 days of GA4, Ads and GBP data. That is long enough to identify tracking breaks, weekday effects and obvious anomalies without pretending a short spike is a trend. GTM events, UTM naming and call or form definitions are reviewed too, because a dashboard is only as reliable as the events feeding it.

Published results: five numbers-backed case studies

Kathmandu ecommerce SEO: 2,300 to 13,500 organic sessions

Before: the Kathmandu ecommerce site received about 2,300 organic sessions per month. Product and category demand existed, but technical friction, weak category targeting and thin internal pathways limited how much of that demand the store could capture.

Strategy: the SEO programme combined crawl and indexation fixes, category-led keyword mapping, improved titles and copy, product schema, internal linking, content that supported commercial categories and relevant off-page authority building. The work treated category pages as landing pages rather than leaving every product to compete alone.

After 12 months: organic sessions reached 13,500 per month, up 487%, while organic-led revenue roughly tripled. Revenue is described as roughly tripled because that is the supported level of precision; the traffic figures should not be read as a promise that every additional visit converts at the same rate.

Kathmandu clinic local SEO: map views up about 340%

Before: the clinic's Google Business Profile generated around 2,100 map views per month. In a city where patients often search by treatment and proximity, incomplete local relevance can hide a credible clinic beneath weaker but better-configured profiles.

Strategy: the local SEO work corrected categories and business information, strengthened service relevance, improved location and treatment pages, established a review-response process, added useful photos and checked citation consistency. GBP activity was connected to the website rather than managed as an isolated social feed.

After six months: map views reached about 9,240 per month, an increase of roughly 340%, and phone calls rose about 85%. The call result matters more than profile visibility alone: views are a leading indicator; calls are closer to patient demand.

Education consultancy PPC: CPL down 40% at steady spend

Before: the education consultancy was paying NPR 3,500 per lead while spending NPR 300,000 per month. Raising the budget would have scaled the waste alongside the leads.

Strategy: the PPC Nepal account was reorganized around programme and destination intent. Search terms and negatives reduced irrelevant traffic; ads matched each query more closely; location, device and schedule data informed bids; landing pages made the next step clearer; and conversion tracking was checked before optimization decisions were made.

After: cost per lead fell to NPR 2,100, down 40%, and lead volume roughly doubled while monthly ad spend stayed at NPR 300,000. Holding spend steady isolates the efficiency gain more clearly than reporting lead growth after a budget increase.

Home services Google Ads: CPA down about 46% in 90 days

Before: the home-services campaign acquired a customer or qualified action at NPR 4,722. Broad matching, uneven query intent and a landing experience that did not fully answer urgent service questions constrained efficiency.

Strategy: the 90-day reset prioritized high-intent service and location combinations, search-term exclusions, ad-to-page continuity, call and form measurement, and budget movement toward campaigns producing qualified outcomes. Landing-page CRO focused on trust, service coverage and a fast contact path rather than cosmetic redesign.

After 90 days: CPA fell to NPR 2,571, down about 46%. This is a paid-search result for one account and period, not a general CPA benchmark for Nepal's home-services market.

Home services local SEO: qualified leads tripled

Before: the business generated 12 to 15 qualified leads per month and around 450 organic visits. Its service-area coverage and local landing pages did not adequately reflect how customers searched.

Strategy: the programme aligned GBP services and categories with real offerings, developed useful service-area content, improved on-page location signals, fixed technical issues, strengthened internal links and supported reputation growth through a consistent review process. Citation and link work focused on relevance, not bulk directory submissions.

After: qualified leads rose to 42 to 48 per month, about 3x, while organic visits grew from 450 to 2,847. Traffic and leads moving together gave a stronger signal than either metric in isolation.

Named client work across industries

Hospitality, consumer brands and content

Treebones Resort required more than campaign management: brand identity, the Treebones Nepal website, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube Shorts content, a GitHub-to-cPanel deployment workflow and Cloudflare setup. Jhalko, a photo-framing brand, received a brand system, a logo designed to remain legible in social placements and lead-generation campaigns.

Famous Steel and Home Appliances used product content and awareness campaigns for audiences in Nepal and the Nepali diaspora in Australia. The difference in geography matters: the same product requires different media assumptions, cultural references and buying paths at home and abroad.

Aviation, public information and large-scale media

For Nepal Airlines Corporation, the work began with reputation and entity control: removing unofficial or impersonating pages and establishing a verified official presence. Campaigns then supported Dubai, Delhi and domestic routes. THT Digital's Football Circus combined cross-platform advertising and SEM with analytics capable of tracking millions of cross-platform views.

NGO, healthcare and financial infrastructure

Build Change's Surakshit Ghar engagement focused on a cost-efficient mobile app install campaign and ongoing optimization. Ayush Hospital Pvt. Ltd. involved patient-facing content strategy and promotion, where clarity and responsible claims matter as much as reach.

For Jyotipunja Cooperative, Phase 1 was a technical infrastructure audit covering vendor SLAs, API security and staff training. It is included because digital operations and marketing reliability meet at the same point: secure systems, accountable vendors and staff who understand the workflow.

What is published, and what is not

Only figures that were actually tracked and verified are published here. I do not add a plausible CPL, CPA or revenue number to an engagement simply because a case-study template expects one. Where a client has not approved quantitative disclosure, the scope remains qualitative.

Some work exists as blog write-ups rather than full case studies, including a Facebook Ads campaign under the Himalayan Weaves alias reporting 4.5x ROAS, CRO Nepal work and ecommerce retargeting. Teaching, LMS and Play Store app work lives on a separate educator page. Those categories are not mixed into the five numbers-backed studies above.

What these case studies reveal about digital marketing in Nepal

Local intent is unusually valuable for service businesses. In Kathmandu, a well-built Google Business Profile Nepal programme can influence calls before a user opens the website. Correct categories, services, map details, reviews and localized pages work together; GBP posting alone does not constitute local SEO.

PPC efficiency is a system, not a bid adjustment. The education and home-services results came from tighter intent, search-term control, clearer landing pages and trustworthy measurement. Google Ads, Meta and TikTok can buy distribution, but conversion rate optimization determines how much of that traffic becomes business. Retargeting should follow consent and frequency controls rather than chase every visitor indefinitely.

SEO growth requires all three layers. Technical SEO protects crawling, indexation, performance and structured data. On-page SEO maps intent to category, product and service pages. Off-page SEO and link building establish external trust through relevant coverage, citations and genuine mentions. Content marketing connects these layers by answering questions that support a commercial decision instead of publishing for a monthly word count.

Channel choice follows the buyer. Meta, TikTok and YouTube Shorts are strong for visual discovery; LinkedIn suits professional targeting; X can support public communication; search captures declared intent. Reputation management is essential when impersonation, inaccurate profiles or unanswered reviews distort that journey.

Measurement has to survive the campaign. GA4, GTM and disciplined UTM tracking should make a lead traceable without trapping data inside an agency-owned account. Looker Studio can report the result, but it cannot repair an incorrect event. Marketing automation should move qualified data into follow-up and reporting workflows, with people retaining control over claims and customer communication.

Tools used or recommended

  • SEO: Google Search Console, Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog and Google Keyword Planner for query research, crawling, indexation and authority analysis.
  • PPC: Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager and Google Tag Manager for campaign delivery and conversion events.
  • Analytics: Google Analytics 4, Looker Studio and Hotjar or Microsoft Clarity for acquisition, reporting, recordings and behavior patterns.
  • Local SEO: Google Business Profile, BrightLocal and Whitespark for profile management, rank visibility and citation research.
  • Social and content: Canva, Buffer or Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite and native platform tools for production, scheduling and moderation.
  • CRO: Microsoft Clarity or Hotjar for evidence, plus VWO, Optimizely or another suitable A/B testing platform. Since Google Optimize closed, the choice depends on traffic, stack and experiment complexity.

A tool does not create the strategy. Free platform data is often enough to diagnose the first constraint; paid tools become useful when scale, history or competitive research justifies them.

Frequently asked questions

What results can I expect from digital marketing in Nepal?

Results depend on your baseline, offer, competition, budget and channel. These figures describe specific engagements, not averages or guarantees. A useful forecast starts with your own GA4, Ads and GBP data, then states assumptions plainly.

How long does SEO take to show results in Nepal?

Local SEO can move within weeks, while competitive organic SEO usually needs several months. The clinic study covered six months and ecommerce covered twelve. Technical condition, existing authority and content capacity all change the timeline.

Is Google Ads or Facebook Ads better for businesses in Kathmandu?

Google Ads is usually stronger when customers actively search for the service. Facebook and Instagram work well for visual discovery, launches and retargeting. Search volume, creative quality and the sales cycle should decide the split.

How much does digital marketing cost in Nepal?

It depends on scope, competition, content production and media spend. The NPR 300,000 monthly spend above belongs to one education campaign, not a recommended starting budget. Compare proposals with agency fees, ad spend and setup costs separated; the Nepal pricing guide provides sourced context.

Do you guarantee results?

No responsible agency can guarantee rankings, lead volume or revenue. Gurkha Technology can commit to a defined scope, clear measurement and transparent reporting. These cases are records of past work, not promises about the next account.

What industries have Shashikant and Gurkha Technology worked with?

The work covers ecommerce, healthcare, education, home services, hospitality, aviation, NGOs, finance, manufacturing, automotive, food and beverage, jewelry and technology. Scope has included branding, websites, SEO, paid media, social content, analytics, reputation and infrastructure audits.

How do you measure and report campaign success?

Each engagement starts with a platform baseline and agreed business conversion. GA4, Ads, GBP, GTM events and UTM parameters connect activity to calls, forms, leads or purchases. Reports distinguish visibility and traffic from qualified outcomes.

How can I start a scoped engagement?

Share your industry, city, goal and current channels. Read-only access to roughly 90 days of GA4, Ads and GBP data makes the scope more accurate. The first recommendation may be a campaign, a tracking repair or no new media spend at all.

Request a scoped engagement

Tell Gurkha Technology your industry, city and commercial goal. If available, include 90 days of read-only GA4, Ads and Google Business Profile access so the scope is based on evidence rather than a generic package.
